Vigga Scarf (English)
INTRODUCTION
The Vigga Scarf is worked
back and forth in garter stitch with a wavy pattern along the edges in both
sides. The Scarf is in 3 sections: one sequence with increases, one where the
stitch count is not altered (middle sequence), and one with decreases.
SIZE: Short (long)
LENGTH: 84 (104) cm from tip to tip.
WIDTH: Appr. 12 cm (both
sizes) (measured at the middle point).
GAUGE: Appr. 20 sts x
40 rows in garter stitch on needles 4 mm = 10 x 10 cm.
NEEDLES: Circular
needle 4 mm (60 or 80 cm) or 2 double-pointed needles 4 mm.
YARN: The Vigga Scarf can
be made from many different yarns. You need appr. 130 (170) m. You can use scrap
yarn from your stash, or you can use one of our recommendations below:
Cashmere:
25 (50) g Cashmere
Classic from Cardiff (25 g = 112 m) or 25 (50) g Cashmere Premium from Lang
Yarn (25 g = 115 m).
Cotton:
50 (50) g Summer in
Kashmir GOTS from BC Garn (50 g = 165 m) or 50 (50) g Mandarin Petit from
Sandnes (50 g = 180 m).
Merino wool:
50 (50) g Yaku from Cama Rose (50 g = 200 m) or 25 (50) g Ønling No 1 (50 g = 180 m).
